UOB Thailand and The FinLab, UOB’s innovation accelerator, assisted over 250 Thai small-and medium-sized enterprises (SME) to undergo digital transformation as part of the Bank’s 2022 Smart Business Transformation Programme (SBTP).

Before the Covid-19 pandemic, consumers were already shifting their spending to online platforms. The prolonged pandemic has supercharged this trend. In Thailand, 68% growth in e-commerce drove an estimated 51% year-on-year jump in the value of the digital economy to US$30 billion in 2021, according to the e-Conomy SEA 2021 report.

UOB Thailand has collaborated with the Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP) and digital solution providers to assist SMEs in implementing digital solutions in response to the urge of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) to digitalise their businesses.

UOB (Thai) today showcased the digital transformation of15 small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from the first Smart Business Transformation Programme held in Thailand.

This programme is run by The FinLab1, in collaboration with the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) and the Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP).
