UOB FinLab Digitalisation Innovation Programme: UKM SUKSES X APINDO (D.I.P: UKM SUKSES X APINDO) is a 8 weeks programme designed to help businesses expand their financial management knowledge. Participants were equipped with critical skills including strategic financial thinking, navigating current and future digital trends, and gained insights into financial instruments. Additionally, online networking sessions enriched the programme, fostering connections between business practitioners and mentors.
The programme opened with a welcome address by Edisono Limin, Head of Channels and Digitalisation, UOB Indonesia. Next, opening insights were shared by Katya Kamdani, Operational and Information Chair, APINDO.
Novianty Widjaya, Head of Digital Engagement and FinTech Innovation, UOB Indonesia, delivered the opening address where she highlighted the programme’s vision, outlining a future where fintech drives business growth.
Interactive icebreakers and group activities on the day also fostered a sense of community and collaboration amongst participants.
The first session, delivered by Yosep Stephen, CEO of Accurate Indonesia, and Hendri Lukito Gunawan, partner of Benny Gunawan & Rekan, addressed the topic of smart accounting and finance strategies in the digital era, as well as taxation for business practitioners. The session was highly interactive, commencing with a forum discussion on common challenges faced by business practitioners. Participants learnt from each other’s experiences, and offered advice and words of encouragement. The session continued to address the importance of business digitalisation, and tax awareness amongst business practitioners.
The second session, delivered by Widrawan Hindrawan, Chief Marketing Officer of PT UOB Asset Management Indonesia, was a valuable continuation of the previous session, providing greater depth and understanding. The session with a market brief, highlighted trends in the UKM landscape and discussed the implications of future trends. Following this, he covered several topics including key macro considerations, capital versus debt, capital fundraising, debt and valuation, and the five key components of credit analysis.
The third and final session, delivered by Donny Boi, Regional Business Banking Sales Head of PT Bank UOB Indonesia, focused on the theme of “Business Ascend”. The session explored business growth strategies and broke down a business assessment from the bank’s perspective. Donny covered topics on loans for working capital requirements, UOB Beyond Banking, and the importance for businesses to go digital.
The programme closed with final remarks from Edisono Limin, Head of Channels and Digitalisation, UOB Indonesia & Lishia Erza, Committee Chair, SME Entrepreneurship Capacity Building & Inclusive Economy, DPN APINDO, thanking participants and speakers for their participation and support. Following this, a plaque and a certificate award presentation to celebrate the participants successful conclusion of the programme.
