A pilot project was launched to install Nano Coating technology on the link bridge and UOB building to reduce annual maintenance costs while achieving resource savings. By applying the coating, the building benefits from improved light transmission and reduced dirt accumulation. This also lowered cleaning frequency, water usage, and chemical consumption, delivering clear environmental and economic benefits.

Nano Coating Tech successfully completed the installation in mid-August 2025. The process went smoothly, with UOB CRES coordinating cleaning activities before the coating application.

Key Pilot Results:

  • Maintenance Cost: THB 70,000 saved over two years, a 35% reduction.
  • Cleaning Frequency: Cut by 50%, exceeding the 40% target.
  • Water Consumption: Reduced by 50%, surpassing the 40% goal.
  • Resistance to Dirt: Improved by 35.7% after coating (target: 30%).
Revolutionising building maintenance with nano coating that keeps glass clean and costs low.

Impact Muang Thong Thai 1280X905 1 - Greentech Accelerator Thailand Pilots Showcase

GEPP Sa-Ard Co., Ltd. partnered with IMPACT Muang Thong Thani to pilot a Waste Data Intelligence platform that digitises waste management and drives sustainability through real-time, data-driven insights.

This Waste Data Intelligence platform was implemented across IMPACT’s event venues to record and analyse waste data by location and activity. The pilot achieved over 90% data coverage and improved the recycling rate from 0.2% to 2%, building a strong foundation for smart, circular waste management.

Key Highlights

  • Captured waste data for 67.02% of total events, exceeding the 50% target.
  • Achieved a recycling rate of 3.97%, surpassing the 2% target and improving significantly from a 0.2% baseline.
  • Collected waste volume data across 90% of IMPACT’s venue areas, well above the 60% target.
Our mission is to transform waste management with data-driven innovation, fostering sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

This pilot used 8 tonnes of biochar on organic farms with Kingdom Organic Thailand to improve the soil and yields for the farmers. With guidance from a Suranaree University of Technology professor, WongPhai designed an experiment applying varying biochars, fertilisers, and water levels to kaffir limes. Monthly monitoring is conducted using sensors, while nutrient and water absorption data are analysed using Synchrotron machine to assess biochar’s impact on plant health and soil performance.

Key Highlights

  • Achieved a reduction in water usage ranging from 30% to 65%, resulting in increased leaf and root biomass in kaffir lime plants.
  • Decreased organic fertiliser usage by 25% to 50%.
  • Soil carbon sequestration increased by 0.89 tonnes of carbon per hectare per year under the biochar and 25% fertiliser treatment.
  • Despite stable soil nitrogen levels due to the short experiment duration, plant leaf tissue showed significant mineral increases: potassium (20% to 66%), iron (20% to 50%), manganese (33% to 80%), sulfur (over 50%), copper (over 22%), and zinc (13%).
We are committed to turning bamboo waste into biochar that restores soil, removes carbon, and uplifts local communities.

The Alto CERO platform implemented AI-driven automation at UOB Plaza Bangkok, targeting air-side HVAC systems (AHUs) to achieve 5–10% energy savings. The IoT Gateway collected real-time data from UOB Plaza Bangkok’s chiller and air-side systems. Using IPMVP Option B and weather-normalised baseline modelling, the systems utilised AI-optimised AHU speed, static pressure and humdity. This maximises UOB Plaza Bangkok’s energy efficiency while maintaining indoor comfort and air quality.

The analysis confirms that AI-driven optimization has led to measurable energy savings at the UOB Plaza. The Total Baseline Consumption was 13,456 kWh, while the Actual Consumption after AI implementation improved to 11,325 kWh, resulting in an average percent savings of 15.83%, above the target of 5-10%.

Key Highlights

  • Achieved higher energy efficiency with quicker issue detection, reporting, and reduced manual workload.
  • Successfully identified faulty air-side sensors and critical issues like chiller trips and elevated chilled water temperatures.
We innovate smart and data-driven solutions for efficient and sustainable building operations, through AI-powered air-side and water-side energy optimisation.
