UOB and IMDA launch second phase AI adoption programme
The programme is targeting 3,000 SMEs to participate.
UOB has partnered with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to launch the next phase of its AI adoption and scale implementation programme for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Called AI Ready 2.0, the programme aims to address the challenges of SMEs when moving from exploration to implementation by providing end-to-end support across capability development, prototyping, financing and implementation.
Since its launch in July 2025, the programme has reached over 600 SMEs and conducted more than 10 workshops covering AI awareness, use-case identification, implementation planning, and executive leadership, as well as more than 50 personalised AI discovery sessions.
The next phase aims to increase that target to 3,000 SMEs.
The programme has also facilitated more than 800 connections between SMEs, technology providers, and industry experts.
UOB said reported results include increases of up to 125% in lead generation through AI-powered customer acquisition tools and reductions of up to 30% in tender preparation time.
Others reported improvements include reducing documentation review from hours to minutes and improving operational accuracy through AI-enabled validation workflows.
