Digitalisation Innovation Programme: UKM SUKSES held its second digitalisation programme, themed “Digitalise and Optimise Your Business: Womenpreneurs Edition”. The four-week programme was organised in collaboration with Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia (Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association) (HIPMI JAYA). The aim was to enhance their strategic entrepreneurship skills and trade dynamics through three classes held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

First session: Promoting gender-responsive business through WEPs

The second instalment of the UKM SUKSES: Digitalisation Innovation Programme kick-off was held at the Penthouse at UOB Plaza Jakarta.

Mrs Dwi Yuliawati Faiz, Officer-in-Charge for Country Representative, UN Women Indonesia, led the first session on 11 July 2024, focusing on Women Empowerment Principles (WEPs) – a framework for businesses to champion gender equality.

She explained how implementing WEPs can unlock business growth and drive gender equality, creating a thriving gender-responsive business.

Second session: Optimising export-import operations – Strategies for efficient trade finance and risk management

Mr Criest Robet, Trade Sales Business Banking, UOB Indonesia (UOBI), led the second session. He covered topics such as identifying opportunities and challenges in international trade, understanding export-import regulations and procedures, applying financial strategies to optimise trade operations, and managing financial risks associated with international trade.

Third and final session: Trailblazers and visionaries – Women leaders shaping the next generation of entrepreneurs

Three remarkable women leaders – Ms Istafiana Candarini, Founder of KAMI IDEA, Ms Tiara Adikusumah, Founder of Polka Cosmetics and Ms Shinta Nurfauzia, Co-founder of LEMONILO – were invited to lead the final session held at Chloe’s Bistro on 18 July 2024. They shared insights from their inspiring journeys and impactful leadership styles. The session highlighted the valuable tools and strategies these women leaders used to achieve success across industries.
