Welcome Address, Opening Remarks & Opening Address
The first day of the programme began with a welcome address delivered by Hendra Gunawan, President Director, UOB Indonesia. This was followed by opening remarks by Janet Young, Managing Director and Head of Group Channels and Digitalisation, Strategic Communication and Brands, UOB. Edisono Limin, Head of Channels and Digitalisation, UOB Indonesia, then delivered the opening address, marking the launch of UOB FinLab in Indonesia.
Keynote: Jakarta, The Future of SMEs
Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, President Director at Jakarta Entrepreneur, then delivered a keynote speech which discussed the potential for SMEs to thrive in Jakarta’s urban landscape, technological ecosystem, and strategic partnerships.
In addition, the keynote highlighted the key enablers of SME success in Jakarta, which include collaboration, skill development, and innovation.
Keynote: Unleashing Digital Frontiers of SME Transformation
Leonard Theosabrata, President Director of SMESCO, followed up with a keynote covering how to navigate challenges SMEs commonly face in navigating the new digital age and how to harness digital tools and integrate data analytics to enhance business growth. Leonard also shared about SMESCO’s role in supporting and advancing SME’s developments.
UKM SUKSES Programme Sharing
Novianty Widjaya, Digital Engagement and FinTech Innovation Head, UOB Indonesia, then shared about the upcoming programme agenda and what participants stood to gain from the sharings by industry experts and tech solution providers.
She also provided insights into how UOB FinLab’s expansion into Indonesia supports UOB’s commitment to accelerating SME growth and innovation across ASEAN.
Promise to Progress - Delivering Technology for Businesses
A panel discussion was then moderated by Andrew Henderson, Head of Program, Skystar Ventures, where Tito Yuandi, SME Business Services Hub at APINDO, Dwi Yuliawati Faiz, Head of Programmes at UN Women Indonesia, Hayden Lui, Deputy Division Head of International Trade and Business at Guanglian Group and Co-Founder of Ezeelink Indonesia, and Hansel C Hunard, Co-Founder of Carissa Nails shared insights into theopportunities that technology presents businesses to achieve their growth targets in a sustainable way.
Financial Support for SMEs
This was followed by a panel session moderated by Andrew de Bratakusumah, Head of Finance and Banking BPD at HIPMI JAYA, where Dewi Tuegeh, Head of Business Banking, Susi Riniwati, Business Banking Sales Lending Head , and Vivi Thendean, Business Banking Sales Funding Head at UOB Indonesia spoke about how to overcome common funding challenges and how to leverage digital financial solutions to strengthen your financial management.
In addition, the panel shared about how UOB helps to drive SME success through comprehensive and customized financial support for sustained business development.
Streamlining Your Business Operations for Productivity and Efficiency
This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Kevin Kurniawan Chandra, Digital Business Development Lead at UOB Indonesia, which brought together Yosep Stephen, CEO of Accurate Indonesia and Augustino, Co-Founder & Chief Marketing Officer at YUKK to discuss how businesses discover and evaluate strategies to optimise their operations and how to increase productivity and efficiency for your business.
Pushing Boundaries to Reinvent for Next Generation Businesses
The first day of the programme concluded with a sharing session by Sona Maesana, Chairman of Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia Jakarta Raya (HIPMI JAYA), which highlighted the importance of embracing technology, empowering change, and how HIPMI JAYA plays a role in supporting young entrepreneurs and driving innovation.
Value Proposition Canvas
The second day of the programme began with a sharing session by Muhammad Miqdad Robanni, Partnership & Business Advocacy Manager, UKM Centre, FEB at Universitas Indonesia. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the Value Proposition Canvas, a guide for businesses to understand the importance of creating a customer-focused value proposition for their business. This enabled participants to identify customer segments, understand their needs and pain points, and differentiate their offering from competitors.
Accelerate Your Sales and Increase Your Marketing Channels
This was followed by a series of sharing sessions by industry leading e-commerce and digital marketing brands that highlighted how they could help SME owners leverage the latest technology and trends to take their businesses’ digital presence to the next level.
Business Taxation for SMEs: Issues and Impact
Benny Gunawan, Managing Partner at Benny Gunawan dan Rekan then held a sharing session where he shared tips on how to navigate the complexities of compliance.
In addition, the session delved into key taxation challenges faced by SMEs and strategies to mitigate tax-related risks.
Protect What Matters in Business
This was followed by a panel discussion moderated by Monica Hedwig Gustafiany, Wealth Sales Head at UOB Indonesia where Leonardus Sunioto, Head of Group Agency, PD & Intermediary Sales at Prudential, Liya Hasanah, National Sales Head at Prudential, and Brata Wibawa Djojo, Head of Bancassurance at PT Sompo Insurance Indonesia spoke about how today’s ever-changing market landscape can bring about multitudes of risk and how to tailor various types of insurance to meet your business needs.
Innovation for Growth to Stand Out in Indonesia and Beyond
The day ended off with a panel moderated by Samuel Houten, Foreign Direct Investment Advisory at UOB Indonesia, which brought together Kurnia Kiswoto, Division Head of International Trade and Business at Guanglian Group and Co-Founder of Sudah Digital & Claris, Yardi Limas, Deputy Division Head of International Trade and Business at Guanglian Group and Co-Founder of Sudah Digital & Happy Ice Indonesia, Agustin Marjanti, Centre Lead at BLOCK71 Indonesia & NUS Enterprise, and Nova Dewi Setiabudi, Founder of Suwe Ora Jamu.
The panel highlighted the innovation ecosystem in Indonesia, providing insights on the emerging technologies, market dynamics and opportunities for innovation to unlock new opportunities and drive growth in Indonesia and beyond.
Programme Closing Remarks
The programme wrapped up with closing remarks from Edisono Limin, Head of Channels and Digitalisation at UOB Indonesia, who touched on the various insights, strategies, and practical tips for Indonesian SMEs covered by the various sharing sessions and panel discussions.
Edisono also highlighted the need for business owners to take back what they learnt to their own businesses to enable change and drive growth.

To do so, the program aims to equip SMEs with knowledge, strategies and practical tips on the effectiveness of adopting relevant digital technologies in e-commerce, digital marketing, logistics and business operations.
