Challenge Statements
We are looking for solutions on analysing waste streams and identifying recycling and upcycling opportunities.
We are looking for solutions to assess our water usage patterns and areas of wastage, as well as improvement areas for water efficiency.
We are seeking a partner skilled in upcycling to transform some of our end-of-life medical and aesthetic products into upcycled goods.
We are looking for a partner capable of supplying us with FSC certified packaging while also being able to monitor the associated emissions. Additionally, we expect our partner to share forestry impact metrics, including figures on water usage, energy consumption, community employment, and other relevant factors.
We are looking for a plastic sorting technology with capabilities to sort the more sustainable LDPE plastics into downstream production of plastic rolls and sheets for construction.
We are looking for utilisation of a more sustainable packaging material for online delivery to customers.
We are looking for sustainable solutions to reduce the overall volume general waste (excluding food waste) on campus.
We are looking for technologies that can sustainably reduce and/or recycle the water used in cooling towers.
We are looking for cost-effective solutions to collect and recycle paper and plastic packaging waste from 60 UNIQLO Malaysia stores nationwide.
We are looking for solutions to reduce water usage for toilet flushing and general washing.
We are looking for solutions to identify water usage patterns to improve water efficiency.
We are looking for new wastewater management solutions that can eliminate oil and organic substances from wastewater.
We are actively seeking sustainable alternatives to materials that match the high quality of cotton while costing the same or less than typical fabrics.
We are actively seeking innovative solutions to utilise post-production waste, particularly leftover fabric, in a way that adds value and reduces waste management costs. By repurposing these materials, we aim to contribute to a more sustainable and efficient production process.
We are exploring methods to produce garments in small quantities (500-1000 pieces) while maintaining the same cost efficiency as manufacturing 10,000 pieces. This could involve various approaches, such as conceptual changes, process optimisation, or the use of specialised tools.
We are looking for a sustainable and cost effective packaging for pet foods.
We are looking for a solution to manage damaged or returned beauty or personal care products without the need of disposing it at landfills.
We are looking for cost efficient sorting technology to separate PVC waste between usable and useless one to reduce manpower and increase high quality of performance.
Reducing plastic waste into plastic pallets is energy intensive. We are looking for an energy saving solution for our manufacturing facility to reduce our electricity consumption by a further 30%.
We are looking for smart lighting solutions to reduce energy consumption without replacing existing LED luminaires.
We are looking for solutions to identify and reduce excess energy consumption to maximise our energy saving capabilities.
We are exploring alternative and sustainable transportation methods for distributing our products, aiming to reduce our reliance on trucks due to the high cost of gasoline.
We are looking for solutions to keep/control room temp in production area at target (20-22C) while minimizing use of electricity.
We are looking for innovative battery solutions, ideas or business models for EV commercial vehicles (e.g. Trucks and Prime Movers) in the logistics industry.
Our significant electricity expenses stem from the necessity of maintaining cold rooms for storing raw materials and finished products, as well as air conditioned working areas for cleaning birdnest. We are looking for ways to reduce energy consumption and lower electricity usage (e.g. through solar panels, effective cooling systems etc).
We are looking for solutions to reduce energy usage for hot water and air-conditioning by 30-50% in order to decrease electrical expenses and improve operational efficiency.
We are looking for a solution to monitor, control and report energy consumption and savings across our factory and retail shops.
We aim to cut down on energy cost and consumption as we require machinery to run for long period of time and production rates are high. We are looking for a comprehensive breakdown of energy usage across the manufacturing plant.
We are looking for ways to increase the production of organic products for farmers in Thailand to meet the growing domestic and international demand in order to be considered as a “large exporting organic farm”.
We are looking for solutions to reduce the lost of flour during the frozen fried shrimp production process or ways to make use of these excess flour.
We are looking for effective solutions to optimise our chiller machine.
We are looking for alternative ways to freeze shrimp instead of using liquid CO2.
We are looking for innovative solutions to contribute to improving the health and eating habits of people through amino acids or alternative sustainable food production.
We are looking for a direct air carbon capture and utilisation technology to prototype on the rooftop of our building.
We are looking for rainwater harvesting solutions for the roof at The Shoppes.
We are seeking a robotic or semi-automated sewing machine to bolster high-volume production. Our goal is to reduce costs while simultaneously enhancing workforce efficiency as we navigate an aging society.
We are looking for solutions to enable exhibitions to be more environment-friendly, using reusable construction materials, batches, and replacing materials with more digital solutions for Sustainable MICE.
We are looking for solutions on how to integrate ESG risk and impact into supplier RFPs, assessments and collection of suppliers’ emissions’ data.
We are looking for solutions to perform gap analysis on our sustainability reporting, beyond environmental / carbon impact to include social impact information such as workforce data.
We are looking for solutions to track and assess impact on biodiversity across our value chain.
We are seeking a partner capable of quantifying the carbon emissions achieved by replacing our current Styrofoam packaging to reusable alternatives.

Testimonials from past participants
“We received immense potential from the GreenTech Accelerator programme. We managed to meet industry leaders, bounce ideas off other players in the space and secured new clients. Being in front of such a curated network opened REDEX up to many business touchpoints where we could collaborate and work with new partners. At the same time, we were able to contribute back to the space by sharing our key insights with other industry players and our approach to long term sustainability.”
