UOB Vietnam hosted the “Xin chào Hà Nội (Hello Hanoi): Cross-border Growth with E-commerce and Digital Solutions” programme to help businesses leverage digital solutions and cross-border eCommerce for sustainable growth. The event, supported by industry experts and government partners, reinforces UOB FinLab’s commitment to foster innovation, digitalisation and sustainability among Vietnamese businesses.
The good news for SMEs is that various grants are available by government agencies to ease the strain for Singaporean firms looking to implement business transformation initiatives through digitalisation and sustainability.
UOB FinLab Indonesia held its second UKM Sukses: Digitalisation Innovation Programme themed “Digitalise and Optimise Your Business: Womenpreneurs Edition”. The programme covered gender-responsive business practices, trade finance strategies and leadership insights from successful women entrepreneurs in Indonesia.
To demonstrate UOB’s continued commitment to supporting the ambitions of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Business Banking Singapore, UOB FinLab and Group Wholesale and Markets Marketing jointly rolled out capability-building and networking sessions for women entrepreneurs. Since its kickoff in March 2024, about 470 womenpreneurs have registered their interest.
Singapore’s SMEs are rapidly digitalising, but true transformation depends on leadership. Technology delivers impact only when aligned with clear processes and a prepared workforce. The next phase of SME growth will be driven by leaders who integrate digital tools purposefully, invest in people, and leverage industry networks to scale.
DHL Express and UOB Indonesia are collaborating to drive sustainable trade and SME growth across ASEAN. Through DHL’s GoGreen Plus service, UOB is reducing up to 80% of emissions from international shipments. The partnership also launched the country’s first GoTrade event in Jakarta to support SMEs in cross-border trade.
At UOB FinLab’s “Digital Gateway to Global Markets” event in Ho Chi Minh City, experts highlighted Vietnam’s growing momentum in cross-border trade. With strong interest in e-commerce and regional partnerships, businesses are leveraging digital tools, financial solutions, and regulatory support to expand globally. UOB Vietnam and Alibaba.com’s Innovative Hub launched a support package to empower exporters, reinforcing Vietnam’s role in the international supply chain.
